Scalable Capital raises 60 million euros

European online investment platform, Scalable Capital, has raised 60 million euros in equity financing. This round brings the company’s total funding to 326 million euros. The company wants to use the funding to achieve further growth.

Scalable Capital is a trading platforms where users can invest in stocks, ETFs, bonds, commodities and crypto. It was founded in 2014. It currently has more than 600 thousand clients and currently manages 16 billion euros in client assets. Last year, the platform launched in Italy.

In 2021, the broker raised 165 million euros in a funding round. That funding was used for international expansion. In the last two years, the platform launched in Austria, France, Spain and the Netherlands as well.

Now, Scalable Capital has secured 60 million euros in equity financing in a series E round. “The funding is a testament to the strength investors see in Scalable Capital’s business”, said Erik Podzuweit, co-founder and co-CEO. “The scale-up potential of a holistic pan-European investment platform that empowers everyone to become an investor is huge. With the fresh money, we will focus on further developing our product and striving for sustainable growth.”

The platform wants to become a leading provider of easy and cost-effective investing solutions for retail investors. Since this year, users have received yearly interest rates of up to 4 percent on uninvested cash. It also added a new product recently, called Credit. This gives users access to secured loans. The company has not yet announced what the next steps will be to achieve growth.
