Revolut offers ETFs in Europe

Revolut is offering ETFs to its European users. For the new investment product, the online bank is partnering with German financial startup Upvest. In the next few months, Revolut wants to add European listed stocks and other trading products as well.

Revolut is a British-Lithuanian online bank and investment platform. The broker has over 28 million individual users and offers crypto investing and stock trading.

Over 100 ETFs

Starting today, Revolut is offering Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) to its European users. Customers will have access to over 100 ETFs with a minimum investment amount of 1 euro. To offer this new product, Revolut is partnering with financial startup Upvest from Berlin. The German fintech specializes in an API for investment platforms to easily offer trading products such as stocks, crypto and ETFs.

‘Launch stocks, mutual funds, bonds and more’

In the next few months, Revolut wants to add European listed stocks too as part of the partnership. “Our aim is further expanding our offering in the wealth & trading space”, Revolut’s Head of Wealth and Trading Rolandas Juteika says.

He adds: “In addition to that, we will soon be launching a comprehensive range of other investment products – including stocks listed in EEA markets, mutual funds, bonds, robo-advisory services and a more sophisticated trading platform for experienced traders.”

Valued at 33 billion dollars

Revolut was valued at 33 billion dollars in 2021. Most of its revenue comes from crypto trading, but the crypto market has been in rough weather. The platform has also been trying to get a UK banking license for over two years now, the Financial Times writes.
