Wefunder launches in the Netherlands

Equity crowdfunding platform Wefunder has opened an office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The company has already received the ECSP license. The platform is now able to offer its services in Europe.

Wefunder is an equity crowdfunding platform from the United States. According to the company, it has helped private firms raise 576 million dollars. Startups can raise up to 5 million euros online from accredited and non-accredited investors through the platform.

‘First investment platform from the US to launch in Europe.’

The company has been looking to expand into Europe for a while. Now, it is the first investment platform from the US that is launching its services on our continent. As part of the expansion process, the company has opened an office in Amsterdam.

ECSP license

The investment platform has already received the European Crowdfunding Service Provider license from the Dutch Financial Markets Authority. With that license, the company can offer its services all across Europe.

This allows startups to raise money from investors based in the US, as well as Europe. At the same time, investors will get more investment opportunities on the platform.
