Dutch crowdfunding market increased almost 20% in 2024

In the Netherlands, more than 1.137 billion euros was raised in total with corporate crowdfunding campaigns in 2024. This was a record, with a volume increase of almost 20 percent compared to the previous year.
These data come from a recently published research from Investeerders.nl. In previous research by the platform in mid-2024, an increase of 10 percent in the Dutch crowdfunding market was expected. However, many crowdfunding platforms performed better than expected in the second half of the year.

Just like in 2023, Mogelijk reached the biggest volume, and Collin Crowdfund showed the fastest growth in volume. Crowdrealestate also achieved strong growth last year. It received its license relatively late, but immediately realized a lot of projects and exceeded its annual volume. New in the list this year is Zibb Investments.
Funds and growth overseas
Because of the 20 percent increase, it seems that growth in the Dutch crowdfunding market is far from over. The commercial property market alone is one of many billions.
Things look great on the demand side, but it remains to be seen how things will develop in 2025. A lot depends on which course the top crowdfunding platforms will take. For instance, the three top companies in the overview have their own funds. This makes it uncertain whether the crowdfunding volume via individual investors will continue to grow at the same pace in this year.
Several Dutch crowdfunding platforms have expanded internationally
In addition, several platforms have set their sights across the border. Mogelijk.nl and Horeca Crowdfunding launched in Belgium. Collin Crowdfund opened an office with a new team in Germany.
About the research
The report only looked at what Dutch platforms with the ECSP license funded through crowdfunding. It did not take into account how platforms performed through their funds. Furthermore, amounts have been rounded to 100,000 euros. Investeerders.nl made their own estimates for platforms that did not share their performance during the research.
