Dutch crowdfunding on track to match volume of 2025

In the first half of 2026, Dutch crowdfunding platforms raised 576 million euros. Alongside the growth in funds, the annual volume generated through individual crowdfunding investments appears on track to match that of 2025. Property still accounts for the highest volumes, but beyond that, platforms are proving to be just as important for SMEs.

On track for 1.1 billion euros

Dutch crowdfunding has been eventful in the first half of the year, as research from Investeerders.nl shows. As a result, the target of over 1.1 billion euros for 2025 appears achievable once again. For instance, Crowdrealestate has already raised almost as much in six months as the 100 million euros raised throughout the whole of 2025 (91.4 million euros so far). Confince BV (Geldvoorelkaar) and Sameningeld are also already close to their full annual volume for 2025 after just six months.

This development shows just how much of a difference large-scale property projects can make. But crowdfunding has also had a significant impact in other areas during the first half of the year.

Impact made by crowdfunding

Property dominates the market in terms of volume, but there was still plenty of choice beyond that. For example, investors funded 64 businesses via Crowdaboutnow with less than 9 million euros. As with Horeca Crowdfunding Nederland and Eyevestor, this funding mainly goes to companies and sectors that find it difficult to secure other forms of financing. Without these platforms, several SMEs might not even have survived.

Zonhub is now the leading sustainable platform in the Netherlands. And ZIB Investments, through its ECSP licence, has already financed a tenth private equity round in the past six months. This raised 4 million euros for an investment by BB Capital Fund Investments in various private equity funds, spread across approximately 14,000 companies worldwide.
